From Cythera series A (2018)

But why am I interested in Cythera? Because I consider this island to be a sort of paradigm of the gap between a real place and the images of it created and transmitted by past artists.

Retour sur les lieux, mars 2018

Comme on le sait, une stèle (une plaque) est la statue d’un lieu. Elle le constitue en point de repère de la mémoire historique, comme une épingle sur une carte d’état major.

Ruins in the island (2018)

The main subject of this speech is the relation of my work as an artist to Antiquity, namely Greek and Roman. Such a relation is mediated by the thought of several poets, painters, architects, who have also dealt with antiques.
